Video on Demand PSP deal announced plus BAJA: Edge of Control screens

It's a good time to be a PSP owner - especially if you like using Sony's handheld for more than game playing. Sony and Sky have launched a new service called Go!View which is the official PSP video-on-demand service in the UK and Republic of Ireland.

From today, content spanning TV, movies and sport will be regularly added to this new service for PSP users to view - based on a monthly subscription charge. Programming will range from US dramas such as library series' of Lost and Desperate Housewives to hit UK shows such as Doctor Who and Top Gear through to FA Premier League football action and blockbuster movies.

Comedy, Sport and Entertainment Packs are available by monthly subscription, whilst selected movies and TV series can be transferred via the rental service on Go!View. Subscription packs are priced at GBP5 for 1 pack, GBP8 for 2 packs and GBP10 for all three packs and users can trial all three packs free for a month. The only catch is that you'll need to download the content to a PC before transferring to the PSP. Considering how there seems to be a drought of good PSP games at the moment, perhaps downloading the latest films will still make the PSP an essential portable gadget.

From palm of your hand gaming to the chance of exploring 100 square miles of an open-ended gameworld. Due out in September on both Xbox 360 and PS3, BAJA: Edge of Control is an off-road racer from the teams behind the MX vs ATV games. Harness the horsepower of over 40 elite Trophy Trucks, 4x4's and Buggies across eight varied vehicle classes, whilst travelling across some of the roughest terrain Mother Nature can throw at you. Sounds like an average trip in London rush hour, if you ask us.
